Here’s the lawn at the end of week one. Maybe I should call this the lawn blog.
Teeny, tiny sprouts of grass! These were replanted on 4/19 after the big nor-easter and then the sprouts were up today on the 22nd!
I ventured out into the huge rainstorm this weekend to buy this Carlo Robelli twelve-string that was for sale on Craig’s List. This is an inexpensive guitar that sounds good and holds its tune pretty well. Now all I have to do is learn how to play it.
I got to try a Polycom IP phone at work today. I can use my Gizmo Project account (firstname.lastname@example.org) to call or forward the IP phone (#####@sip.columbia.edu) or vice versa. Obviously, this technology has a lot of potential — one way I would use the technology is to forward my IP phone to my laptop when I’m away from my desk.
I brought in a ton (literally) of dirt this weekend in an effort to make the back yard grass-worthy. The sod that we put down last year had to be torn up since it never really “took”. Three of us worked several hours to spread out the dense, dense top soil that was delivered in fifty 40-pound bags.
